SEA Games 2023: Afril Bernardino sends Gilas to gold medal match in women’s 3×3

MANILA, Philippines-Afril Bernardino came through down the stretch as the Philippines bundled out host Cambodia, 21-20, in the 3×3 competition of the Southeast Asian Games.
Bernardino hit the game-winning layup in the dying seconds of the match to send Gilas to the gold medal match against Indonesia.

Aside from the finisher, Bernardino tallied eight points to join fellow veteran Janine Pontejos in leading the scoring effort.
Mikka Cacho added four 4 while Jack Animam 1 in the thrilling effort at Modorok Techo National Stadium in the Cambodian capital.
Gilas, assured of a silver medal, takes on Vietnam in the finale set at 12 noon.
The Vietnamese finished 2nd during the last edition of the SEA Games.
